► Smears: The right-wing smear campaign against Senator Obama, which violates the traditional Jewish prohibition against lashon hara, has been refuted at every turn by numerous independent fact-check organizations and denounced by rabbis and other Jewish leaders from every denomination.

● When not trafficking in outright falsehood, it relies on fear-mongering through guilt by association on Israel, anti-Semitism or Obama's religious commitments and background, while giving McCain a free pass on these and other issues.

► Israel: Obama and Biden are unswervingly dedicated to Israel's security, with 100% pro-Israel voting records and a long roster of staunchly pro-Israel statements throughout their careers. Obama will be not only good for Israel, but better than Senator McCain, who will continue Bush's failed Mideast policies which have made Israel and Israel's neighborhood much less secure.

► National Security/Foreign Affairs: The Obama-Biden approach to US national security is clearly superior to McCain's: they believe in using all elements of our national power, including diplomacy, which has been neglected by the Bush Administration and Senator McCain.

● Obama and Biden favor the judicious use of military force when truly necessary.

● Obama and Biden will strengthen our relationships with our allies and restore respect for America throughout the world; McCain will continue Bush's bellicose approach to the world.

► Domestic Issues: Obama and Biden's approach to domestic issues is far better than that of McCain and Palin for American Jews and the entire country. Obama's policies are in synch with Jewish values, and our mandate to repair the world—tikkun olam.

● Social Security: Obama and Biden will strengthen Social Security, protecting the future of seniors; McCain is likely to jeopardize it through privatization.

● Economy: Obama's tax plan will strengthen the US economy and help the vast majority of Americans, especially the middle class, which will see reduced tax rates; McCain's plan favors the wealthy and big business, and will further exacerbate our economic woes.

● Healthcare: Obama's healthcare plan will provide medical insurance to all Americans who need it; McCain's will undermine the ability of people with health problems to purchase insurance, and leave many people uninsured.

● Women: McCain and Palin are anti-choice and will further constrain womens' reproductive freedom; Obama and Biden are pro-choice, while working to reduce the frequency of unwanted pregnancies.

● Supreme Court: McCain will appoint hard-line conservative justices like Scalia and Thomas who will undermine civil rights and liberties, favor big business over employees and the disadvantaged, and weaken protections for our environment. Obama and Biden will appoint justices reflecting the moderate social views of most Americans and American Jews.
